Traditionally, absinthe is prepared by adding an ounce of the spirit to a glass and then dripping iced water over a sugar cube. The sugared water infuses the absinthe, releasing the oils of the botanicals - anise, fennel and grand wormwood. To achieve this accurately (and more importantly, aesthetically) you're going to need an absinthe spoon! Made to be rested on the glass rim and support the cube whilst the water drips in. This design has the word 'ABSINTHE' cut out across the grill, where the sugar is rested whilst water drips over it.
